Rita Pettigrew - Glass Painting

Rita Pettigrew is a self-taught glass painter living and working in Dublin and has been painting full-time since 2003. Rita’s use of humour and imagination, coupled with her distinctive style and colourful subject matter, means her work is readily identifiable.

Her paintings consist of a variety of colourful aquatic creatures, which she uses to reflect human life in a humorous manner. The resulting work is highly imaginative, vivid and original.

Rita has a space on Merrion Square where she exhibits every Sunday (weather permitting!); she participates in the Peoples Art Exhibitions on Stephen’s Green (June, August and September)
